The Inherited Treasure....Part 4

Recap: Aadinath is mystified by all the occurrence around him. He finds that his Grandfather has left him a secret diary, from which he understands that he owes his ancestors a lot. He is protector of something unknown and all these secrets were to be revealed to him on his 18th birthday. He is still unaware of what the things were. He looks at the key that Divyanka has given him. The key is a bit weird and he doesn't know what is exactly its use. Midst of all these, there is a knock at the door and he is surprised to see the visitors.

" What happened Ma?? Your face is swollen!!! Dad!!! Gosh!!!! look at you....A hand fractured !!! Bandage on forehead!! Mithilesh uncle you too with bruises?? What is all this??" asked a surprised Aadinath. " Can we all come in first? Will explain everything..." said Augadh. " Oh !! Sorry dad!!! I will arrange some coffee for you all!! Please relax everyone!!" Just as Aadinath headed towards the kitchen, Mr. and Mrs Shastri settled themselves as away as they could from each other. Mithilesh seated himself with his Shambhu. He could still feel the turbulence in the air, but this time intensity was more from Augadh's side. Augadh was continuously glaring at Shambhavi. Shambhavi grimaced looking at Augadh's expressions which infuriated Augadh even more. There was a pin drop silence in the room. 5-6 mins of silence felt more horrifying than the accident itself. Mithilesh finally broke the silence. " Well!! Well!! All's well that ends well!!! Right guys!! Thank God we are fine....and...here's the coffee..." said Mithilesh..genuinely thanking god that Aadinath entered right on time. " What happened Ma??? You guys were expected to arrive tomorrow morning. What is all this?? " asked a worried Aadinath. Taking charge Mithilesh answered Aadinath's question, " Just a small accident Aadi...our car just skid on the road besides the valley. Luckily...the car stuck on a huge tree which hung just around the edge of the valley. We were truly lucky!!!! Your dad jumped out of the running car and was most severely injured than both of us. I was in the rear end of the car so could easily get off... a huge branch of the tree hit your mom directly on her face as she was trying to get out opening the door..the pain is preventing her from speaking." "How did you manage to arrive here? It is about 2 am now!!!!.." exclaimed Aadinath looking at the watch. " I had my phone in my pocket...called my friends residing nearby. They helped us out and took us to the hospital. After confirming there were no serious injuries we were allowed to go.

The car is still stuck at the place...we have arranged it to be taken out from that place quite soon. Your father's mobile phone was lost...lets see if it could be traced by morning...it had many important things" said Mithilesh by looking at Augadh who in turn glared furiously back at Mithilesh. Clearing his throat Mithilesh said, "Ahem.. So....we were dropped here at the apartment by one of my friends. There wasn't any way to contact you directly Aadi... or else we would have told you.." Aadinath was listening to everything very carefully. Aadinath did not have any mobile phone nor was there any landline that was connected in the house. Aadinath was asked to preferably stay away from electronic gadgets and also other people "Anyway...I feel it is quite late. You all should rest... we will talk about the detailed graphics tomorrow..." remarked Aadinath. " Aadi I will sleep with you tonight beta...Augadh will have Mithilesh's company.." said Shambhavi with a half shut mouth which clearly depicted, her swollen face rendered it difficult for her to speak. Obliging his mother, Aadinath carefully directed her towards his room. Augadh was still glaring at her...it felt he had lots to speak but kept his cool because of Aadinath. As soon as Aadinath and Shambhavi entered the room Augadh looked directly at Mithilesh and remarked, " You both planned my murder right!!!!" hearing this Mithilesh's face turned pale...it was something unexpected he heard from his brother-in-law. Mithilesh was out of words at such an allegation.." So..Shambhu's Mithi...why are you out of words so suddenly??? You both wanted me dead right!!!!" said an enraged Augadh. Mithilesh composed himself, smiled and said, " I know Augadh...there is unbearable pain in your hands and neck. I am really sorry from Shambhu's side for the stupidity that she did..but that doesn't mean you should now start thinking like her." " I am no fool Mithilesh!!!" Augadh's voice was raised now. " I know Shambhavi's capability to handle stress. Even she is no fool. The way she acted today was intentional and not instinctual. She is a top most psychologist, I am a topmost scientist and you...Mr Mithilesh..... a topmost neurologist....and the combination of your and Shambhavi's brain is always disastrous as I have known from my earlier experiences." Augadh's voice was deep but clear enough to penetrate Mithilesh's soul. Mithilesh did not understand why Augadh was having these feelings against him. Mithilesh gulped down his anxiety and wiped out sweat from his forehead.." Augadh bro... trust me...we did nothing wrong...and why in the world will I and Shambu hurt you?...She loves you more than anyone else in the world...Augadh!!! and..." " Love.... My foot!!!! " Augadh screamed at the top of his voice. Mithilesh was dumbstruck....he had never seen Augadh so furious. Hearing Augadh scream...Aadinath and Shambhavi came running in the room. " What is the matter dad??" asked Aadinath who was surprised to see his father shivering with rage, unable to control his anger. As far as Aadinath was concerned he had always seen is father as chill as as a cucumber, but today he was red with fury. He never ever in his life had heard Augadh lashing out on someone. Something was waywardly wrong... " Dad calm down dad!!!" Aadinath's heart was pounding hard. He didn't understand what to say. He did what he always used to do in his childhood, when his Grandpa used to scold him. Without second thoughts he ran towards his father and embraced him deeply. Augadh was taken aback by Aadinath's gesture. Aadinath's hug actually calmed his nerves and he relaxed. Aadinath was about an inch taller than Augadh. He cuddled Augadh just as a small child. Aadinath didn't leave his father until he was convinced that Augadh's anger had subsided. " Aadi...son.. look..I am fine", said Augadh with his soft voice. Aadinath loosened his grip and looked at his father. Augadh's faint but genuine smile was indicative of his de-stressed mind. " Dad I strongly feel you should take a good night sleep. You are extremely stressed out. Do you need some painkillers to ease your pain dad?" asked Aadinath. Augadh lovingly squeezed Aadinath's cheeks with his uninjured hand. " No my dear... I have already been dosed with painkillers. I feel I need some rest!!" exclaimed Augadh. Aadinath held Augadh's hand and guided him towards his room. "Aadi...please arrange the guest room for Mithilesh. I want to be alone tonight." said Augadh looking at Mithilesh and Shambhavi. Mithilesh and Shambhavi also exchanged glances. Aadinath was not sure what was going on but he knew something is extremely wrong and the elders played some games which had backfired on them. He wanted to personally comprehend all the secrets...but this was not the right time. He made sure Augadh slept comfortably, arranged the guest room for his uncle and entered the living room just to find Mithilesh and Shambhavi whispering something. They stopped as soon as they realised Aadinath's presence. Mithilesh smiled on seeing Aadinath. He got up, keeping his hand on Aadinath's shoulder, Mithilesh adoringly exclaimed" Thanks for the arrangement dear!!! It was a traumatising day today...Good night son!!" Aadinath smiled in return and before he wished him a good night he said something which made Mithilesh slow down his steps.."What is cooking between you people uncle??? Nothing seems to be in proper place... you were going to arrive in the morning. Why did you think of moving in so late at night??" hearing Aadinath, Mithilesh turned behind, full of fizzled expressions before he could speak anything, Shambhavi intervened.." Aadi I will answer all your questions tomorrow...it is not the right time...we all are tired right!!!" " Hmm..as you say ma...come....good night Mithi uncle." saying this all of them entered their respective rooms, as usual leaving more unanswered questions for Aadinath.

Time : 6.30 am

Place: Himalayas

Aacharya Raghunadan had just completed his morning rituals. The feeling of being melancholy and incessant fidgetiness were common since Aadinath was taken away from the place. The penance of all these years seemed worthless. He started feeling that something more powerful around had caused this distress and he was unable to trace his elite and obedient student since months. The day he lost Aadinath he also lost something more valuable than anything else in the world. His purpose of existence on the planet was challenged and by far he could see that everything was in doldrums. He remembered the promise he made to his grandson, who had protected this secret quiet well. Just as it is said " Great Empires fall not because of the encroachment from outside but because of the blunders within", the same happened with this aashram and its guarded secret...all because of trust on a wrong person. Even Acharya failed to understand how he couldn't realise the intentions earlier. Even though he visualised the death of the person himself he still wasn't sure whether that was true as his body was never found. As of now, all he could think of was "Aadinath". He needed him as soon as possible. His end was near and he needed to handover the last of the secrets to Aadinath. It was to be done on the day of his disappearance, but then suddenly everything changed and till this day, all was a mystery!!! All his attempts to locate Aadinath were futile. His accolades were on constant search operations for locating Aadinath and the traitor who fled away with the key..."The Key" .....which was the cause and effect of everything.

He tried to connect with Aadinath through all his acquired mental skills, which he had effectively inculcated in Aadinath through years of meditation. There was something which did not help him connect with Aadinath. He was sure his Aadinath was alive, but why wasn't he responding was unknown. Aadinath was already skilled in tuning his mental abilities for effective use...thanks to his grandfather who trained him with meditation since childhood. With Aacharya's training he was very quick to understand the telepathic technique to connect each others minds even at long distances. For general people the concept of telepathy might have been weird and stupid, but it was a simple method of conveying messages nonverbally through electromagnetic waves generated by the brain. It was an effective means of communication only when the brain is specifically trained for it. Aadinath was not only mentally trained but also physically he was by far the most proficient commando a country could ask for. He wasn't an officially trained commando, but trained by special commandos within the ashram. Nobody knew the existence of these secret commandos whose lives were dedicated to preserve the integrity of the age old secrets conferred upon them since 1000s of years. Aacharya Raghunandan was the first amongst the people who self integrated all the yogis and yoginis of the ashram and trained them with all the martial art forms along with archery, sword fighting, shooting using homemade rifles. Aacharya started this venture with the help of many other expertise people of martial arts inclusive of Kalaripayattu, Silambam, Gatka and a special type of military non-combat, Parkour used in military operations for getting from place A to B in a most efficient way. These people not only trained Aacharya's disciples but ultimately dedicated all their lives for the Ashram. These people were highly trained professionals who were a part of different professions and selflessly served the Ashram with dedication and honesty.

Aacharya never seemed so old as he was now. Nobody knew his actual age but all his accolades were sure, he was an occupant of this planet for not less than a bicentennial, which constitutes a time span of 200 years.

" Take this son!!! The entire responsibility of protecting the age old clandestine now lies on your shoulders." Aacharya recollected his last conversation with Aadinath. It was as if just few moments ago and Aacharya felt the presence of Aadinath besides him. Aadinath had traced the lost key which was in the clutches of his own master " Guru Satyanand", the master of all the forms of Martial arts, who had deceived the entire clan. Aacharya Raghunandan had immense faith on Guru Satyanand. Aadinath was a true disciple of Guru Satyanand who had imbibed each and every teachings of his Guru and unknown to him, Aadinath had developed his own form of Martial arts which had the characteristics of all the Martial art form he learnt. Even his Guru could not defend himself from Aadinath's moves and the newly developed Martial art form. "What is this Aacharya?" asked Aadinath looking at the potion bottle that was handed over to him. " An elixir son....a universal elixir!!" exclaimed Aacharya. " Elixir of what Aacharya? " questioned Aadinath still gazing at the beautiful blue glossy and viscous fluid. It had some kind of an attraction that didn't allow Aadinath to look away from it. " An Elixir of life...an Elixir of death, an Elixir of transformation and an Elixir of commotion. The one who seeks it on humanitarian grounds is blessed with all its goodness and the one who seeks it for his own virtue, a curse will befall on him and the entire humanity indicative of the end " hearing Aacharya's words Aadinath was not sure what it is all about but he understood that the potion with him is something of immense importance which is a boon if rightly used and bane if it falls in wrong hands. Aacharya could sense what Aadinath might be feeling. He smiled and said "Come son, I will tell you all about the elixir...its creation...its existence and its need to be protected." Aacharya's thoughts were interrupted by one of his disciples.."Aacharyaa...Ramanuj and his team traced our Aadinath.....they will be bringing him here very soon".

Time: 7.30 am

Place: Aadinath's house

Aadinath was awake quite early today. Earlier there used to be only 1 patient in the house but today there were 3, excluding him!!! The time he woke up, he found his mother sleeping peacefully, the painkillers may still had been effective. Without disturbing her, he freshened up to start the daily chores all by himself. He retrieved the milk from the pouch kept hanging on the front door. He was about to remove the milk to heat it...when he found a note stuck to the milk pouch. The note read..." Meet me at Tribune chowk...will wait till 8 am..... Bring the key and grandpa's trunk....Divyanka" He couldn't believe the last line he read...He read it once again to make sure he read it right.. How come Divyanka knew about his Grandpa's trunk??. He thought may be he had discussed about that earlier. He had no option but to oblige with what Divyanka was saying if he wanted to clear out the the darkness surrounding his past. Ensuring that everyone was asleep, Aadinath quietly slipped out of the house with the key and the trunk. Tribune chowk was around 20 mins from his house as he enquired from a passer by. He didn't have time to lose.. so he boarded an auto and quickly reached the place. It was morning so the traffic was much lesser in comparison. He searched for Divyanka all around the place but couldn't find her. Finally he decided to go in the lawn besides the cross lanes (chowk). There he found a sort of a subway, which was supposedly under construction. He heard some voices as he approached the tunnel and decided to check out if Divyanka was inside. The moment he entered, the voices were suddenly silenced. Still he could hear some mumbles like somebody was trying to forcibly speak through a shut mouth. Aadinath closed his eyes and tried to concentrate. There were more than 3 people...he carefully placed his trunk at a dark corner...without any second thoughts quickly walked across the turn in the subway. He found 7 mask clad men who held Divyanka captive. Her mouth was forcibly shut by a man's hand and the other hand was held behind her back. Her eyes were full of fear and she was trying in vain to constantly free herself. A rush of adrenaline through the body made Aadinath's nerves tingle. He composed himself and made his heart beats normal. " Leave her guys!!!!" Aadinath's voice was deep yet clear. Neither of the men were ready to attack him..they just kept staring at Aadinath. "Didn't you hear me??? I said leaveee her noww..." Aadinath's voice suddenly rose and his body language suggested he was ready for some action. The men now started looking at each other and before Aadinath sprang into action...they decided to curb the unwanted destruction and breaking of their bones...."Aadi...this is Visoka...see..." one of the mask clad men removed the mask to reveal his identity. " Vis...who??" Aadinath was utterly confused...All of the men were constantly looking at Aadinath and Divyanka took this opportunity. Using her defensive skills she hurt the pinky finger of the man who was holding her mouth from quite sometime, ran towards Aadinath. Before Aadinath realised what she was doing she kicked him hard in his groin and fled as an antelope. Aadinath screamed in pain and fell down on the spot..." Oh heavens!!! Divyanka...why the hell did she do that..."all of them ran behind her while Visoka stayed with Aadinath. " Vis...can you please tell me what is happening?" asked Aadinath unable to bear the pain. Visoka leaned and sat beside Aadinath holding his hand trying to ease his pain " She has the key Aadi...we were searching her from quite sometime. Yesterday we came to know that she is here in Chandigarh!! We had almost caught her when at the moment you rescued her. We searched you and her all through the night and then we decided to locate your exact address. We were moving towards your residence when we found her in the lawn behind the huge tree. We were trying to know where the key is...till then you arrived and we thought it was one of her friends..... Aadi we are happy we found you...Aacharya is eagerly waiting for you...let's trace the key and then go back to the ashram" said Visoka. " I heard even some Guruji is waiting for me...are both Aacharya and Guruji the same..." asked a confused Aadinath... Visoka carefully looked at Aadinath and exclaimed..." Dont you really remember Aadinath??? God!!!! What have they done with you!!!!...You..." just as Visoka was about to say something a grumbling noise startled him as well as Aadinath and they both stood up with surprise.
